This is the third installment of ANIME NATION, Jamaica’s largest Cosplay event! Created by uber cool Animeheads the JA Cosplayaz, with the help of the Embassy of Japan in Jamaica this turned out to be the biggest event yet. Cool costumes, bands and impromptu dance battles made the night fun!Cosplay event.

I’ve never really painted much before, so I decided to try my hand at it. This is my second painting for today, done with mostly black and a little white. Will upload the first one later.

What I took from the picture : the man seems temporarily removed from his world of noise and people, helpless in the face of nature. So “listen to your heart” might be what this man was saying to himself, to get away, to change it all, to escape.
Great video on a recent Robotics workshop from Halls of Learning. Good to see people exposing new things to Jamaican kids.
This is really good Japanese band music. I can talk about the different kind of Japanese music that I like, but there is an excellent writeup here on the Dublab website. As a designer I was intrigued by the cover art for this mix done by Katsuo Design. Simple, but edgy and sexual.

Matthew Waldman is a foward thinking innovator who patented a new way to tell time with his NOOKA watches. I had the opportunity to meet him right after moving to Tokyo when I took a huge step towards my own creative actualization. I passed by his main offices in New York when I was there last year, and picked his brain a bit about the industry, his motivation and a few other topics. Enjoy.
